Reed is now Age 10 months. He has been walking for almost 2 weeks. He is amazing. He doesn’t walk from here to there and everywhere, but he will walk to us when we are calling him, or if he is leaning on the couch, or table or whatever, he will turn and walk to wherever he wants to. He loves to laugh, he throws his head back and laughs taking a big breath through his nose, so he kinda does a snort too. He is beautiful. I love him. He loves his sister Nandy. He will go to her before anyone else (unless he is hungry or sad) he will come to me in those situations. Reed loves to laugh at and with his sister Nancy Donna. His new thing is to climb up on her rocking chair, stand backwards and hold on to the back post and rock vigorously, while laughing. He is such a character. He doesn’t say words yet, Mark and I are always in competition to get him to say mama or Dada. We are both sure that he has said our individual requests but, he doesn’t say them on his own, so I am not counting them yet.

Nancy Donna, whew, is she a pistol. Nandy has brought so much love and joy into our home. She is constantly making us laugh with her new sentence arrangements. When asking if she can play with friends she is always asking “Can (so and so) play tomollow ) ? She wont ever ask if they can play today. It’s always Tomorrow or, in the words of Nandy (tomollow). Nancy Donna is very particular about when she does things, like the other day she was put on a time out for, who knows what, and when I asked her if she was ready to get out of punishment she told me ” not yet” , so she waited for a while longer before feeling as though she had been correctly punished. She also will sometimes tell us that she is not ready to tell us sorry for something that she had done. She has such a loving side to her, on one occasion she got up early with her dad and he went out to the living room where dad laid down on the couch and Nancy asked if he was tired and he answered yes, so she went into her room got him and herself a pillow and blanket. She came out and asked Mark to lift up his head and put the pillow under his head, then she covered him with a blanket. What a sweet heart. She has seen Mark and I try to help Reed to walk so now she will grab his hands and walk around the room with him. That is a site to see. Other times she will sit 4-5 feet away from him and call to him and he walks to her.

I am so blessed to have the best kids in the world.

Mark has been working really hard on passing his tests to be the General Contractor. He studied very hard and passed the first test ( B 100) with a 86 percent and then the Business Law with a 92 percent. He turned in his papers and is now waiting for it to be filed. I am so proud of him. Due to the economy we had been worried about the direction we should be going and if we were in the right business, and for the first time we had a pretty cool experience with a definite Yes as our answer. We are so blessed with work, Church, friends and kids, its pretty amazing.

I have been on the Cub Scout Committee for almost 1 1/2 years and I love it. I have grown to love the scouting program and hope to have this calling for a long, long time.

Thanks for reading about our amazing life thus far.

Nancy Willison

Wow what a wonderful Halloween we had this year. Nancy Donna went as an elephant and Reed went as Dumbo. We had our two elephants. We went to our Trunk or Treat with our Spanish Fork 19th ward. There were lots of people and animals dressed up. Nancy Donna was in heaven with all the Princesses. We are prob going to have to do something girlie next year. Reed was pretty much content his whole ride. He didn’t care what was going on around him as long as he had his pacifier and was in our arms, if he desired at that moment.

Mark has been so crazy at work. He is working from 7 in the morning until 9-10pm. It’s hard on him. People expect a lot out of him, and he doesn’t like to disappoint. I try and be the lesser of the two. Nancy Donna misses him a lot, but we go to see him for lunch almost every day. I think that really helps. He is trying to get a lot of work done soon so that we have more time in California for Thanksgiving.

Grandma Moroney has not been doing to great. She fell out of bed about 3 weeks ago and went to the hospital to find that she had broken two of her vertebrae number one and two. So her had to undergo a major surgery that the doctors were very clear to my mom and uncle as to how RISKY, it truly was. Well she made it through remarkably and then decided she hadn’t scared us enough so then she decided to pick up a little ammonia. She had us all worried about 4-5 times. She is a trickster though. She was found in the hospital sitting up eating breakfast smiling and laughing. Any one who knows grandma will know to be truly shocked, or not because we are so used to being blown out of the water with her turn around. So needless to say that I want to spend as much Grandma time as possible when I go down for Thanksgiving.

Speaking of grandma’s. I just got to meet Mark’s grandma Willison, whom truly is amazing. She is so accomplished with her book writing and her world of wonderful works that she has done. Along with all of her loving ways she raised some wonderful children. We got to meet Uncle Kraig and Really get to know Aunt Karen (Uncle Dave her husband). What wonderful people. They taught me so much as to how I want my family to be. They are so loving and concerned for one another. It’s beautiful. I felt like family the moment they picked me up from the airport. I had so many one on one talks with aunt Karen and Uncle Dave, learning about where they come from and the backgrounds of their families. I learned so many AMAZING stories about them.

Along the Texas path of wonders, I was able to have dinner with my brother Elder Daniel Nelson, while he was out serving in Houston Texas. He was so wonderful to see. He has a spirit about him that we all knew was there, but just waiting to come out. His companion Elder Brown was very nice too. I really loved getting to be a part of his mission experience. I am so happy and proud of him, and the path he has chosen to travel down.

Ok well I think that covers me for at least a month or so.

Nancy D, Reed and I have been having lots of outside fun this summer. So I have taken some fun pictures. Well to me they are fun they might not be all that interesting to anyone but me but you all can just pretend. Also just last Sunday we had our newest family addition Lucy, as well as our fathers day picnic. Fathers day was a blast because now we get to finally share with dad, the excitement of going to Green Day in Las Vegas with him. We want to see circus circus, or just some fun family shows. Any way here are some pictures of all those activities.

Well I guess it is time that I update my Blog. So I will start with letting you all know that our little Mark Reed is now here. He arrived on April 15 (tax day). And it is ironic because Mark (Dad) made that prediction like 5-7 months before he was born.
I enjoy telling the story on how it all happened because it goes to show that Our father in Heaven really does look out for his children.
Nancy Donna and I went to bring Mark some lunch as a surprise because he is working where he has no phone service. So we get there and it turns out that he has to go down the Canyon to get some more lumber for the job. So Nancy D and I follow him down the Canyon and park at a Park and Ride so that we can join Dad in his excursion of getting his work supplies. After we finish, Mark drives us to the mouth of the Canyon to the park and ride to get my car. This is the point where Mark looses his phone service and it takes about 20 minutes to get the the job from there. But as he is strapping Nancy D’s car seat in my car my water Broke. Mind you this is 2 weeks early so pretty exciting. If my water had Broken just 2 minutes later Mark would have been in the Canyon with no service and it would have taken him 40 minutes to get back to me. So we are always thankful for all the events that took place that day. So even though my water broke at lunch time it took him until 10:30 pm to come. And that is a whole other story of which I will tell when I dont have 4 screeming Children next to me begging for my attention. But I will say he was born weighing a good 7.7 and he was 20 inches long.

Nancy Donna has shown to be much like a Nelson. She has spunk and attitude and so many other things that just scream Nelson. She is very independent, if you try and help her with anything then she is very quick to tell you “Sit Down”, meaning sit down and do your own thing. She is very smart too, if she does something silly and makes you laugh at her, she gets angry and will come and shake her finger at you while very sternly telling you “NO!” I have loved being her mom. She loves her dad tons though. She is what they call “Daddy’s Girl”. She would much rather be in his arms then mine any day.
This Saturday we are having her two year birthday party. I am so excited to see how she is at this one as opposed to her one year! Not to happy that we had people or games or toys or anything. She really lived up to that song, Its My Party and I’ll Cry If I Want To! I have it on Video if she ever says differently.
One other thing, I am so anxious to see how she is going to do with our little Reed. I think that she is going to be such a big little helper but who knows how it will go until he is here! Well thanks for your patience, and not sending me hate mail to get something out of me.
Love,
Nancy

Ok well since the last time that I wrote a few fun things have happened. We found out that we are having a boy, and he is quite the mover and shaker. He is so active, hitting his mother kicking all of her internal organs. He is going to be a fighter for sure. Nancy Donna hasn’t decided to accept that he is a boy. She was set on us having a “dirl”. Now that we insist on informing or asking her “are you going to have a brother, her answer follows with a “NOOOO”. So we will see if she warms up to the fact in a little bit. If not we are going to have a true wrestling match. Tune into fox 13, in the late month of April for the episode.

We went to Chico for Christmas and we had a blast. All my family was there, except David who is still serving his mission in Chile. We had both of my Unckles and there former wives and one of my cousins there with his new girlfriend. It was Marks first time meeting him so that was fun for us. All of the neices and nefews were there. Mason, Sydnee, Reagan, Roxie, Luke Taylor and of course our own little Nancy Donna. I have lots of pictures to post but Nancy Donna just woke up so I will have to do that on her second nap. Untill she is asleep again I will have to turn in.

Nancy Willison, the mom!

We had a wonderful Halloween this year. From Carving Pumpkins with Nathan and Wendy to decorating the house all the way down to Trick or Treating with our little Nancy Donna, it all was just about excellent. Nancy Donna was truly the cutest little Duckling ever. She learned how to say quack just for this occasion so you can imagine what it was like walking down the street or where ever we were hearing quack quack every foot step of the way.

We have been working so hard on Potty training and breaking the Binky habit. All in all its going pretty well. She isn’t to stoked about having to figure out if she has to go potty or not, but she is getting there. We are so excited about going to California for Christmas, it will be my first one in like 3 years, so yes I am very excited. Well I hope that you all enjoy the pictures that I have to share, and wish you all a wonderful day.

Well today I took Nancy to go pick up my prescription at Wal-Mart. When we were in line waiting, this woman and what I assumed to be her mother, was commenting on how Nancy D lost one of her shoes. I told them how its a game of hers that she kicks on off and see if mom notices before we leave the store. All the time they are talking to her and laughing because Nancy D is just scowling at them. The younger woman just laughed saying how she thought that it was so funny and the mother looked at me and said (Yeah good luck mom) and this brought me back to a comment that some lady in the doctors office told mom when I was a toddler. I was talking in my typical high pitch and non stop when the woman looked at mom and said some thing along the lines of ( I don’t know how you do it). And mom just politely smiles and thinks to herself (well I’m glad she’s mine and not yours!) And its moments like this that I think to my self how lucky I am to have such a beautiful daughter with soooooooooooo much personality! Also how lucky I am to have parents that aloud me to have all my personality. HERE’S TO TEN FOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers!
