Update

Reed is now Age 10 months. He has been walking for almost 2 weeks. He is amazing. He doesn’t walk from here to there and everywhere, but he will walk to us when we are calling him, or if he is leaning on the couch, or table or whatever, he will turn and walk to wherever he wants to. He loves to laugh, he throws his head back and laughs taking a big breath through his nose, so he kinda does a snort too. He is beautiful. I love him. He loves his sister Nandy. He will go to her before anyone else (unless he is hungry or sad) he will come to me in those situations. Reed loves to laugh at and with his sister Nancy Donna. His new thing is to climb up on her rocking chair, stand backwards and hold on to the back post and rock vigorously, while laughing. He is such a character. He doesn’t say words yet, Mark and I are always in competition to get him to say mama or Dada. We are both sure that he has said our individual requests but, he doesn’t say them on his own, so I am not counting them yet.

Nancy Donna, whew, is she a pistol. Nandy has brought so much love and joy into our home. She is constantly making us laugh with her new sentence arrangements.  When asking if she can play with friends she is always asking “Can (so and so) play tomollow ) ? She wont ever ask if they can play today. It’s always Tomorrow or, in the words of Nandy (tomollow). Nancy Donna is very particular about when she does things, like the other day she was put on a time out for, who knows what, and when I asked her if she was ready to get out of punishment she told me ” not yet” , so she waited for a while longer before feeling as though she had been correctly punished. She also will sometimes tell us that she is not ready to tell us sorry for something that she had done. She has such a loving side to her, on one occasion she got up early with her dad and he went out to the living room where dad laid down on the couch and Nancy asked if he was tired and he answered yes, so she went into her room got him and herself a pillow and blanket. She came out and asked Mark to lift up his head and put the pillow under his head, then she covered him with a blanket. What a sweet heart. She has seen Mark and I try to help Reed to walk so now she will grab his hands and walk around the room with him. That is a site to see. Other times she will sit 4-5 feet away from him and call to him and he walks to her.

I am so blessed to have the best kids in the world.

Mark has been working really hard on passing his tests to be the General Contractor. He studied very hard and passed the first test ( B 100) with a 86 percent and then the Business Law with a 92 percent. He turned in his papers and is now waiting for it to be filed. I am so proud of him. Due to the economy we had been worried about the direction we should be going and if  we were in the right business, and for the first time we had a pretty cool experience with a definite Yes as our answer. We are so blessed with work, Church, friends and kids, its pretty amazing.

I have been on the Cub Scout Committee for almost 1 1/2 years and I love it. I have grown to love the scouting program and hope to have this calling for a long, long time.

Thanks for reading about our amazing life thus far.
